96FM bounces back to #1 overall in Perth GFK Radio Survey 3

With an increase of 1.9% 96FM has moved back to #1 overall as Perth’s highest rating radio station. 96FM sits on 17.1% overall, 2.2% in front of #2 station Nova 93.7.

 

96FM’s rating increase was driven by a big increase of 5.7% in the 55-64 demographic, in addition to solid increases in the 10-17 (up 1.7%) and 25-39 (up 2.2%) demos. In sessions 96FM continued to rank #1 in Mornings (up 2.6%) and Afternoons (up 2.6%) and took over #1 spot in Drive with a 1.9% increase.

Nova 93.7 had a disappointing survey and ranks #2 overall in Perth. The station dropped 2.1% overall from 17.2% to 14.9% but is still ranked a clear #1 overall in the important Breakfast session, despite dropping 2.2%. Nova dropped 5.2% in the 18-24 demo, 3.6% in 25-39 demo and 3.9% in the 40-54 demo.

Mix 94.5 maintained their position as #3 overall on 11.7%. They lost 4.4% in the 10-17 demo but had good increases in the 40-54 and 18-24 demos.

92.9 Triple M improved by 1.4% overall and maintains #4 spot on 9.2%. They had a good increase of 4.9% in the 25-39 demographic and now sit as #1 in this demo just 0.1% ahead of Nova 93.7.

6PR dropped slightly overall to 6.5% but managed to increase audience in the 40-54 and 10-17 demographics.

6IX saw a small improvement overall to 4.0%
