10,000 turn out for Telethon Mega Bingo Weekend

10,000 eager participants came together over the weekend for the 17th annual Telethon Mega Bingo, held at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre across two sold-out sessions on June 14 and 15.
Telethon Mega Bingo, one of WA’s most anticipated fundraising events, drew 5,000 attendees each day, with tickets selling out in a few hours – a clear reflection of the community’s strong and ongoing support for Telethon.
Each session featured cash prizes and the excitement of a grand giveaway — a brand new 2025 GWM Haval Jolion Luxury, valued at $29,990 drive away, awarded to one lucky winner each day. The vehicles were proudly donated by long-time supporter Wanneroo GWM.
The event raised more than $250,000 for sick, vulnerable and disadvantaged children across WA.
Beyond the entertainment, the heart of the event lay in its purpose: 100% of raffle proceeds went directly to Telethon, supporting 161 children’s charities across Western Australia in 2025.
The success of this large-scale event was made possible by the generous contributions of many partners and more than 250 volunteers, including:
• Wanneroo GWM, for donating the major prizes.
• Mal Atwell Billiards and Bingo, whose dedicated team of volunteers.
• AV Partners, for supplying all professional audio-visual equipment.
• Carlisle Events, who undertook the major logistical task of setting up 5,004 chairs and over 834 tables.
• Domino’s, Spudshed, and Subway, who kept volunteers nourished throughout the weekend.
• The West Australian, who helped promote the event and provided complimentary newspapers to attendees.
• And Channel 7, for their continued support and coverage via 7NEWS, Perth’s most-watched news service.
Telethon Mega Bingo 2025 has once again proven the extraordinary impact that can be achieved when community, purpose and partnership come together — raising vital funds and lifting spirits across the state.
The 2025 Telethon Weekend will be held over October 18 and 19 at RAC Arena. The 26-hour live event will be broadcasting live on channel 7 and 7plus showcasing the incredible spirit of generosity that makes WA’s Telethon unlike any other.
