May’s Grill The Marketer puts Pentanet’s Nikki Atack + 303 ML’s Matt Oakley in the hot seat

The recent Grill The Marketer event saw over 50 marketing enthusiasts brave the rain to quiz Nikki Atack, Pentanet’s Chief Marketing & Experience Officer, and Matt Oakley, 303 MullenLowe’s Chief Strategy Officer.
Question topics ranged from how COVID changed consumer behaviour, to career paths and knowing when to call it quits.
Oakley spoke about his recent publication; ‘Evolving role of the CMO – a Western Australian perspective’ and highlighted some of his findings from speaking to some prominent WA CMOs.
Atack spoke to bringing knowledge across the wider business functions of customer experience and sales into the fold to produce better outcomes for her users and internal teams.
Attendees enjoyed hearing about the panellists career paths, experience, and recent campaigns and projects.
Representatives from industry groups were in attendance including PADC, ACA and student groups like the UWA Marketing Society (UWAMS) and Curtin Marketing Association (CMA) and they joined client-side and agency marketing leaders, lecturers and researchers.
The event runs bi-monthly and is produced in partnership with the Australian Marketing Institute.
There are special discount codes for students and early career marketers, and Australian Marketing Institute Emerging Marketers participants.
There’s also industry partnership pricing negotiated to benefit ACA & PADC members, and the list of partnerships keeps growing – although if you ask us, the full price ticket is very good value.
If you’d like to be on the panel, or partner with The Marketer, please contact Carma Levene on hey@themarketer.news for more information.
