About the Role
Our Marketing team drives business growth and has built a brand that is disrupting the category in a sea of sameness and helps consumers navigate the complex decision-making journey when considering clean energy. As Marketing Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and executing Plico’s marketing strategies. Reporting to the Head of Brand and Marketing, you’ll lead brand awareness, customer acquisition, and advocacy campaigns, positioning Plico as a powerhouse in the clean energy space.

Key Responsibilities
• Create integrated marketing campaigns based on market insights to drive trust, customer acquisition and boost advocacy.
• Manage, implement, monitor and measure Marketing campaigns.
• Analyse campaign performance and present regular reports with actionable insights for optimisation.
• Plan, implement, and optimise digital marketing efforts, including SEO/SEM, social media, email, and display advertising, in collaboration with our agency partners.
• Manage the day-to-day relationships with agency partners to foster collaboration and high performance.
• Champion brand consistency and adherence to guidelines across all channels and assets.
• Organise trade shows, exhibitions and promotional events including on-site and off-site activations.

What We’re Looking For
• 3+ years in a similar role (National experience preferrable).
• A curious and data driven mindset to identify trends and insights to optimise spend and performance.
• Experience in tools like HubSpot CRM (preferrable) to maximise campaign effectiveness and streamline internal processes, as well as Canva or other basic graphic design platforms.
• Strong copy writing skills to deliver lead generation and ad hoc communications.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced working environment with excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• A strong work ethic and drive for results.
• A passion for clean energy and sustainability.

The opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced manager to lead our Engagement team to deliver our fundraising campaigns and events, engage with our supporters and community and drive our partnerships and sponsorship program. This role is responsible for increasing brand awareness, growing fundraising revenue, maximising community engagement and our supporter experience for Cancer Council WA.

We are looking for someone passionate about helping us paint Western Australia yellow as part of our leadership team for the Marketing and Fundraising division.

Based in Subiaco, this position is full-time.

What you’ll be doing:
• Working collaboratively with the Director of Marketing & Fundraising to develop fundraising, engagement and partnership strategies.
• Leading the Engagement Team to deliver outstanding fundraising campaigns and events and community engagement to grow revenue.
• Working on Australia’s leading fundraising and marketing campaigns and events such as Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea, Daffodil Day and Relay for Life.
• Leading our community engagement program with a wide range of audiences across fundraisers, community groups, workplaces, schools throughout metropolitan and regional Western Australia
• Managing the development and implementation of our corporate partnerships and sponsorship program.
• Contributing to national fundraising and partnership strategies in collaboration with Cancer Council marketing and fundraising colleagues across Australia
• Building and managing relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
• Managing marketing and fundraising budgets to deliver revenue targets and manage efficient expenditure
• Providing leadership and support to develop a high performing Engagement team

About you
To be successful in this role, you will need:
• Ten years of experience in delivering successful marketing and engagement strategies across a wider range of audiences
• Ten years of experience in leading teams to deliver multiple projects with competing deadlines across events, marketing campaigns, sponsorship and relationship management
• Demonstrated experience in partnership development across corporate, community and media sectors
• Demonstrated experience in campaign management and delivery across multiple marketing channels including digital and social media.
• Demonstrated experience working with competitive revenue targets and reporting
• Well-developed interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
• High level organisational skills and ability to work under pressure managing several tasks with demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong desire to make a difference and strong connection to the WA community
• Bachelor’s degree in related discipline and / or significant (10+ years) successful on the job experience in relevant positions
• Intermediate computer and keyboard skills – Microsoft Office Suite and other databases
• Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the values of Cancer Council WA
• Positive approach to the workplace
