Sexual Health Quarters and Likeable Creative launch unplanned pregnancy helpline
Following historic changes to Western Australia’s abortion laws this year, a free unplanned pregnancy counselling service was established to offer safe and non-judgemental advice and referrals for people in need.
Likeable Creative was engaged to design and build the website, develop the branding, and devise the advertising campaign to launch the service. Named 1800 4 Choice, it is facilitated by Sexual Health Quarters (SHQ), the organisation formerly known as the Family Planning Association of Western Australia. The helpline is staffed by nurses who provide support around pregnancy options and can refer callers to health services and pharmacies providing abortion care. They also provide information to clinicians supporting patients experiencing unplanned pregnancy.
Likeable created the empowering tagline “It’s your call” to advertise the helpline service, and produced a range of ads designed to resonate with target audiences that ranged from women in their late thirties to teenagers. The campaign includes broadcast radio, Spotify, Meta ads, TikTok, digital display ads, convenience ads, and out of home posters.
The 4choice.org.au website was designed to provide easy access to information and integrates an interactive Geomap to help people find their nearest pro-choice practitioners and pharmacists across Western Australia.
