Seven in 2024: connecting Western Australia
In 2024 the Seven Network drove connections with more West Australians than any other network, taking the crown as the most-watched network and growing high-value audiences across all screens, with 7plus leading the charge.
In a statement released by the Seven Network today the station details their key highlights for 2024, which include:

Seven said every month, their broadcast and digital network reaches 1.8 million people across WA with their news, sport and entertainment content, including the AFL, cricket, 7NEWS, Sunrise, Farmer Wants A Wife, The Voice, My Kitchen Rules and much more.
Seven’s key entertainment programming grew their total TV audiences, led by Dancing With The Stars and Australian Idol, both up 27% year-on-year. Five of the top six entertainment programs in WA were Seven’s favourite returning reality formats.
Across the 2024 ratings survey year, which ran from 11 February to 30 November (excluding the Easter period and the Paris Olympics), Seven WA was on top in 38 of the 40 survey weeks. This year, Seven’s average total TV audience at night (6pm to midnight) in WA was 109,000 viewers, 53% higher than any other network.
Seven was the home of the most-watched evening news in WA (7NEWS), breakfast and morning programs (Sunrise and The Morning Show), local drama (Home and Away) and lifestyle show (Better Homes and Gardens). Sunrise had a 219% bigger audience in WA than Today.
7NEWS Perth, Director, Ray Kuka said: “7NEWS is the only TV news bulletin in WA setting the agenda and keeping officials accountable. Our dedicated audience expects to see exclusive stories and the best journalism on local and national events, and as we deliver, viewers are tuning in. We thank our audience for another great year of ratings.”
Seven also had the most-watched multichannel in 7mate and the leading multichannel group (7mate, 7two, 7flix and 7Bravo).
This year was a big one for 7plus, Australia’s fastest growing free streaming platform. Its WA audience jumped 35%.
Fuelled by an ever-growing library of exclusive content plus Seven’s hit shows led the field in VOD with a 43% national share. Its national BVOD share across the survey year was 39.6%, up from 38% in the same period in 2023. Home and Away is the most streamed drama program in Australia.
Seven and 7plus feature some of the most trusted and globally recognised shows, including Home and Away, Australian Idol, Farmer Wants A Wife, Dancing With The Stars, The Voice, My Kitchen Rules, and The 1% Club.
7plus lineup for 2025 will feature highly anticipated premieres like Suits: LA, Grosse Pointe Garden Society, The Americas, St. Denis Medical, and Doc, ensuring 7plus continues to engage and entertain audiences across WA and beyond.

Seven’s AFL Grand Final was the most-watched program of 2024 in WA, with a total TV audience of 487,000 and a statewide reach of 669,000.
In 2024, The West Test between Australia and India saw a 26% increase in its daily average audience across WA, with 7% of its total audience streaming on 7plus.
