Nine Perth grows audiences in 2024

According to a Nine media release, in 2024 the 9Network was the only commercial broadcast network to experience year-on-year share growth in Perth with ALL key demos and Total People across the calendar year, all day.

 

In 2024, 9Now was the clear No.1 CFTA BVOD Platform in Perth with ALL key demos and Total People.

9Now also claimed 7 of the top 10 most-watched programs on BVOD in Perth with Total People across the year, with Married At First Sight the dominant favourite.

In 2024, 9NEWS grew its Perth audience at 6.00 year-on-year across ALL key demos – People 25-54 (+9.1%), People 16-39 (+21.1%), GS18+ (+8.4%) and Total People (+12.4%).

A CURRENT AFFAIR grew its Perth audience in 2024 with Total People and the key demos, up 6.7% against Total People.

Meanwhile, the return of TODAY Perth live and local updates in 2024 delivered significant audience growth year-on-year across Total TV with People 25-54 (+16.7%).

Married at First Sight was the highest-rating reality program in Perth in 2024 with ALL key demos – People 25-54, People 16-39, GS18+ and Total People. It increased its full season average audience year-on-year in Perth with a Total TV average audience of 188,000, up +4.7% year-on-year.

Travel Guides was the best performing Light Entertainment Program in Perth, averaging 103,000 viewers, up +7.0% year-on-year.

Meanwhile, Tipping Point Australia significantly grew the 5pm time slot in Perth year-on-year with ALL key demos – People 25-54 (+25.3%), People 16-39 (+25.7%), GS18+ (+12.1%) and Total People (+20.9%).

State of Origin GAME 1 grew its audience in Perth year-on-year by +10.8% and GAME 3 increased year-on-year locally by an impressive +62.5%.

The Australian Open delivered significant Total TV year-on-year growth in Perth across ALL key demos, with the Men’s Final growing with People 25-54 (+53.8%), People 16-39 (+9.6%), GS18+ (+5.7%) and Total Ppl (+6.1%). In addition, the AO Women’s Final also saw significant Total TV year-on-year audience growth in Perth with People 25-54 (+121.7%), People 16-39 (+79.3%), GS18+ (+55.6%) and Total Ppl (+63.6%).
