See the talented Diamond Skulls winners from ‘Wonderment’, the 35th PADC Awards
The 2024 Diamond Skulls winners were announced on Friday night, following the conclusion of the PADC Skull Awards. Honouring the individuals who take a leading role in creating the most inspiring commercial creative work in WA. The Diamond Skulls are judged on a portfolio of work, rather than a one-off piece.
VML’s Creative Lead, Tim Newton was awarded the overall Diamond Skull for 2024, as well as Art Director of the Year.
Two new Diamond Skulls were introduced this year. The Mettle Skull, acknowledging a client who has championed innovation and bravery in commercial creativity, which was awarded to WA Police Union. And Strategist of the Year, which was won by Emma Ridley (The Brand Agency).
Other individual Diamond Skulls winners were Katie Pelosi (The Brand Agency) who has been awarded Designer of the Year for the second consecutive PADC Awards. Dav Tabeshfar (kwpx&partners) for Copywriter of the Year, Matt Pitcher (Inhale Content) for Director of the Year, Kate Downie (Beautiful Pictures) was awarded Producer of the Year, Brendan Morrow (VML) for Emerging Talent of the Year, Duncan Wright for Photographer of the Year, Sam Price for Digital Talent of the Year, Joel Taylor (Sandbox Productions) for Editor of the Year, Tim Count (MDS) for Composer of the Year, Brad Habib (Soundbyte) for Sound Designer of the Year, and Nicole Lennox Gray (Wildlings) for Client Service Person of the Year.
The three Student Skulls were awarded too: Aisha Runowanda (Design and Advertising), Annabelle Watling (Photography), and Torres Skene (Digital Experience).
