Chelsea Boothman named recipient of the ECU Commercial Radio and Audio prize
Edith Cowan University student Chelsea Boothman is the recipient of the Commercial Radio and Audio (CRA) prize awarded to the student with the most potential in commercial radio. Boothman is enrolled in ECU’s Graduate Diploma of Broadcasting course.
The award, along with a $2,000 cash prize, was presented by former CRA Chair are Perth radio legend Gary Roberts AO. Boothman achieved distinctions in all her radio units. She worked at NOVA 93.7 during her course and she hopes the CRA award will help to launch her professional career.
“I am looking at going into the radio industry as an announcer, wherever that may be. I love radio because it’s a platform where I can truly express my personality and connect with listeners. The radio environment is such a dynamic space, and I really enjoy how everyone works together to bring shows to life,” said Boothman
