VML hosts clients + partners to Cannes curated showcase under the theme “Creativity Matters”
“Creativity matters” was the theme and out-take when VML hosted a Cannes Lions Showcase last Wednesday night at Palace Raine Square.
About 80 clients and friends were inspired to see some the world’s best work and get out of their everyday bubbles – in an interactive session, by the audience played Cannes Judges themselves and voted for Grand Prix, Gold, Silver, Bronze awards.
VML’s Adam Kennedy (pictured below left), Managing Director Perth and Brisbane; Stu Turner (pictured below right), Group Executive Creative Director and Paul Nagy (pictured below middle), Chief Creative Officer APAC, shared about 30 case studies – focussing on PR, B2B, Creative Data and Commerce.
Nagy said: “It was great to step away from the day-to-day and share some of the world’s most creative work. What I loved the most was the reception in the room – everyone was so engaged and thinking about ways they could apply creativity to their business problems and challenges.”
VML showed you don’t always need big films, big budgets, or big world-famous brands, you just have to be genuinely interesting. The message was since 90% of marketing and $1.4 Billion in advertising is wasted every day globally; let’s get creative, be interesting to drive value and results.
