The Brand Agency and Foodbank WA’s ‘The Hunger Ghrelins’ wins 2 golds at the Good Design Awards

The Brand Agency’s ‘The Hunger Ghrelins’ campaign for Foodbank WA has been recognised with two gold awards at Friday night’s Good Design Awards in Sydney. The campaign was successful in both the Social Impact and Communication Design (Packaging) categories.

The Hunger Ghrelins is centred around donation-driving toy kits sold at supermarkets and shops across Western Australia. It invites people to produce their own unique Ghrelin in modelling dough, and then share their creations on social media channels to drive more awareness and donations. The campaign put the fight against hunger into the hands of Western Australian’s and provided 1.5 million meals for WA kids and families.

“We are excited to see this project achieve success at this level and be recognised alongside some of the region’s best design,” said Dan Agostino, The Brand Agency’s Head of Design. “The level and commitment from the team in delivering design projects that not only communicate effectively on a visual level, but also achieve social change is fantastic.”

The Good Design Awards program is one of the oldest and most prestigious international design awards in the world, promoting excellence in design and innovation for over 60 years. Every year, the awards attract cutting-edge design projects from across the globe, celebrating the very best in design, architecture, engineering, research and social impact, with the coveted gold accolade being presented to a limited number of top scoring projects that demonstrate design excellence.
