ARN’s InspHERation series highlights empowerment at third annual event

ARN’s InspHERation Series celebrated its third annual event last Friday, focusing on the theme of “Empowerment.” The gathering featured a discussion with Brittany Hockley, co-host of the widely followed Life Uncut podcast, and a panel discussion with leading figures from Perth’s media industry, including Paige English (Head of Perth Initiative WA), Michelle Testa (Client Partner at Carat WA), Cindy Henderson (Marketplace Director at Perth Essence Mediacom).

Britt Hockley, known for her role on ARN iHeart’s Life Uncut Podcast with co-host Laura Byrne, captivated attendees with a discussion on the podcast’s mission to encourage women to embrace and celebrate their unique qualities. The Life Uncut podcast, which boasts a dedicated community of female listeners known as “Lifers,” reflects Hockley’s commitment to creating a supportive and empowering space. Her address also offered practical advice for navigating the media industry, sharing valuable strategies for career development.

Following Hockley’s keynote, the event featured a panel discussion that provided deeper insights into empowerment within the media sector. Paige English, Michelle Testa and Cindy Henderson touched on their time and experiences in the media industry, how they empower the women in their workplaces, and shared helpful locally-relevant tips and tricks for the women in the room to take to their workplaces and beyond.
