Thousands enjoy Perth Olympics live site at Yagan Square, streaming Nine’s exclusive broadcast

The Yagan Square Olympics LIVE zone has seen a remarkable influx of visitors in recent days, with attendance numbers soaring into the thousands as families continue to enjoy an array of entertainment whilst watching Nine’s exclusive Olympics coverage on the big screen.

Last Friday saw a significant family turnout for Green & Gold Day, marking a lively celebration of community and sport, and the Have-A-Go activations on the weekend were also a crowd pleaser encouraging hands-on sport engagement and participation.

Into the final week of the Olympics, further community events are planned within the precinct including breakdancing activities, as well as meet-and-greets with local Olympic legends including Claire Mitchell-Taverner (Hockeyroos gold medallist, Sydney 2000) this Sunday from midday.

The live site concludes with the Olympics on August 11, but will activate again for the Paralympic season on August 28.

Nine’s Olympics broadcast continues to deliver massive ratings results for the Network both nationally and in Perth. Last night the broadcast dominated Sunday viewing, with a Total TV Reach of 349,000 viewers for Nine Perth. The live and free coverage continues this week on Channel 9, 9Gem and 9Now.
