Western Power launches new brand platform ‘A Network for Life’ via VML

As Western Australia moves to a renewable energy future and demand on the electricity grows, Western Power’s role is key. Western Power has launched a new campaign created by VML that communicates its commitment to building a renewable and reliable energy future for all.

The new platform and campaign shows the networks we know and love around us – like human, business, and natural networks – and how Western Power helps keep all these networks thriving by continually upgrading the electricity network. It’ll run across TV, cinema, radio, OOH, social and digital.

Jill Goodwin, Area Manager, Brand and Customer Communications, Western Power, said: “The electricity network plays a vital role in connecting us all every day. The way we use electricity continues to evolve and the network is evolving at the same time to meet this need. This campaign highlights the people behind the network and celebrates their expertise as we work together with the community to ensure we’re all connected to a reliable and sustainable energy future.”

VML’s creative leads, Tim Newton and Paula Keamy, said: “WA becoming more sustainable is a pivotal moment in the state’s history. The whole team felt proud to contribute our thinking and skills to help bring Western Power’s extensive role in this mission to life.”

Matsu, Beautiful Pictures Director & Photographer, said: “I had a wonderful time linking with the creative teams at VML and Western Power to direct a suite of TVCs that speaks to our interconnected way of life and how Western Power helps to maintain and upgrade the power network. The production team at Beautiful Pictures brought together a great team of creatives who lent us their talents to help bring this project to life in a smooth production. We wanted this work to have a calm flow and bold visual presentation across the whole suite, and I’m excited by what we put together.”

Ellie Quinti, VML Client Services Director, added: “We value our long- standing partnership with Western Power and it was truly wonderful to see the high level of collaboration and cohesion across both teams to deliver such high quality and connected work.”
