The 27th annual Revelation Film Festival opened to a sold out screening of locally made KID SNOW

The 27th annual Revelation Perth International Film Festival opened with a sold out screening of locally made feature film KID SNOW.

 

Set in the 1970s sweat-drenched world of tent boxing, KID SNOW stars UK actos Billy Howle and Tom Bateman alongside Australian actress Phoebe Tonkin and an ensemble cast including Mark Coles Smith, Shaka Cook, Hunter Page Lochard, Nathan Phillips and Tasma Walton.

Shot in Kalgoorlie, Coolgardie and areas of Perth and Fremantle, the film will preview at this year’s Revelation Film Festival ahead of its wider theatrical release September 12.

Revelation Perth International Film Festival is scheduled from yesterday July 3rd to 14th, 2024. As a cornerstone of this year’s festival, the INDUSTRIAL REVELATIONS programme will deliver an epic array of talks, workshops, and events designed to foster the careers of both emerging and established film practitioners.

Building on its legacy of championing independent cinema, the festival provides a dynamic platform for filmmakers to enhance their craft and network with industry leaders.

The INDUSTRIAL REVELATIONS programme is meticulously curated to offer participants unique insights and practical skills, ensuring they remain at the forefront of the ever-evolving film industry. Attendees will engage with issues, approaches, and perspectives that examine international independent film practice, gaining valuable behind-the-scenes knowledge of the screen industry.
