Rare plans for the future with senior staff investing in the agency

After 18 very successful years in business, Rare founders Callum Mackenzie and Brett Wheeler have welcomed four senior staff from key areas across the business as financial partners in the agency.
Client Services Director Simon Stewart, Creative Director Liz Hammond, Head of Digital Experience Shannon Murray and Director of Finance & Operations Adam Copple-Smith have been integral to the running of the business for many years as part of the Executive Leadership Team, so taking the next step to invest was a logical transition.
Speaking on behalf of her colleagues, Hammond said the decision to make this significant commitment to Rare was a simple one. “As we supported each other and the business through Covid, various economic challenges and changing market conditions, it was clear that we are completely aligned in our values and with our vision for the future direction of the agency. Brett and Callum have been incredible mentors to us all over the years, and we’re excited to now be in a position to work with them to take Rare into its next phase.”
Mackenzie said that he and Wheeler welcomed the expanded board structure, adding: “The vote of confidence in Rare from new investors is great news for clients, staff and partners. Rare’s future as Perth’s largest independent creative agency is bright with such experienced, talented and passionate leaders at its helm.”

Great news for Rare and the individuals involved. Rare sits above the usual Perth agency crowd by size and ability to deliver. It’s a professional operation and a very well run business, working with a roster of premium clients.
