10K raised at 91.7 The Wave’s second K9 Dog Rescue Quiz Night

91.7 The Wave and Peel Thunder teamed up on Friday, August 25th to host the K9 Dog Rescue Quiz Night for the second year.

After an impressive inaugural event in 2022, 91.7 The Wave had their work cut out to make this fundraiser even bigger and better. They sold out all 23 tables for the quiz night in under a week and a outstanding $10,000 was raised, which will go directly to the K9 Rescue Group to assist with the refurbishment of their puppy enclosure.

There was an amazing crowd on the evening, who worked hard to nail the quiz put together by 91.7 The Wave’s breakfast duo Gunners and Ali.

This year’s generous donations included in the prize pool were: a big-screen TV, a houseboat stay, a signed Sydney FC jersey, and many vouchers donated by local businesses.

The team at 91.7 The Wave thanks all the volunteers who helped make the night a success, and all the sponsors who donated prizes.

K9 Rescue President, Louisa Ackland, said::”The Quiz night was a fantastic night, not only did it raise necessary funds for K9 Rescue Group, the volunteers that went on the night had a great time.”

“K9 wish to thank The Wave, Gunners and Ali and other staff involved for holding the night and appreciate all the effort and hard work that will have gone into organising a large event, such as this.”

“The funds will go towards upgrading our puppy pen which is in dire need for an upgrade.”

91.7 The Wave, Promotions Coordinator, Cindy Brown, said: “Hosting a fundraiser is always a mammoth task, but thanks to our amazing business community we were successful in receiving a huge amount of donations for raffles, door prizes and auctions items.”
