Streamer and BHP launch community sport competition – BHP Streamer Screamer
WA’s biggest and best community sport competition is back, bigger and better. Streamer, a WA-born community sports streaming platform powered by Seven West Media has partnered with BHP to launch the BHP Streamer Screamer competition, where local sporting heroes or fans can have the opportunity to win $5000 by sharing local sporting highlights.
Whether it is scoring a miracle goal, taking a spectacular mark or just a hilarious blooper, you can win big by simply uploading a video or URL from Instagram, TikTok, YouTube or Vimeo to streamer.com.au/screamer.
West Coast Eagles legend Josh Kennedy will announce three winners per week, who will each take home a $100 Jim Kidd Sports gift voucher, and have their highlights shown on 7NEWS Perth on Wednesday nights from August 9.
Once 12 weekly winners are unveiled, the public will vote on who takes home the major prize of $5000. In addition, this year’s winner of the BHP Streamer Screamer competition will also score $1000 for their nominated local club.
Seven West Media’s Chief Sales Officer Brent Stewart said they were thrilled to have BHP partner with Streamer for this year’s competition
“It’s a great example of how brands can work with Streamer in either a direct advertising buy or through integrated partnerships like this,” Stewart said.
“Streamer is a rapidly growing sports media platform and we are fielding a lot of interest already from brands wishing to attach themselves to particular live sport streams or help in our growth with brand alignment against new and engaging content opportunities like Streamer Screamer.”
The BHP Streamer Screamer competition will run for 12 weeks, with the winner being announced after voting is concluded on September 5. “We saw some unreal entries in this competition last year, but I’m expecting things to go up another level this time around,” Josh Kennedy said.
“I’ve moved back to Geraldton this year and I’ve seen firsthand the role local clubs and local sport play in the community, so to be involved in the BHP Streamer Screamer and really celebrate and reward that is something I’m pretty passionate about.
“Now let’s see the trick shots, the hangers and the clutch buckets start rolling in.”
