The Marketer’s Most Valuable Perspective podcast launches with Adam Ferrier
State of Social’s first limited series podcast, the Marketer’s Most Valuable Perspective, kicks off this week with its first guest; Lead Thinker and CEO of Thinkerbell, Adam Ferrier. Created in collaboration with Dear Storyteller, the series features 8 key State of Social conference speakers taking a deep dive into their unique point of view through conversations with host and Dear Storyteller GM Mike Drysdale.
In the first episode, Ferrier and Drysdale unpack the power of Thinkerbell’s less-is-more philosophy. The two industry rebels discuss why advertisers should ‘do less’; the mental availability of consumers; how to lean into imperfection; and why it’s vital that creative ideas resonate with a brand’s employees before they’re shared with the world. The episode also includes a rapid-fire Q&A about Ferrier’s sources of inspiration and which brands have managed to get ‘under his skin’.
“If you do really good marketing, then it’s everything. It’s business; it’s business strategy. Every single touchpoint should be building or reinforcing a brand or a brand message,” says Ferrier on his baseline approach to advertising.
Upcoming guests on the series include Urban List’s Susannah George, Reddit’s David Ray, Storyation’s Andrés López-Varela, Next Door Australia’s Jennie Sager, State of Social founder Meg Coffey and more.
The debut episode of the Marketer’s Most Valuable Perspective is available today on Youtube, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts, and other streaming services. Subscribe here to be notified about new episodes and follow State of Social and Dear Storyteller for updates.
