Ten Network brings The Project to WA from Monday 21st March at 6.30pm

After years spent apart, The Project is hitting the road and proudly taking the show to Perth, for a week-long, live broadcast at 6:30 pm from Western Australia, from March 21 to 25.
In a program-first, Perth’s own homegrown Carrie Bickmore, plus fellow The Project hosts Waleed Aly, Lisa Wilkinson and Peter Helliar, will eagerly head west to present the show’s first live outside broadcast since the pandemic began.
Bickmore said: “I can’t wait to get home to the beautiful state I grew up in, I miss my family and friends so much and can’t wait to squeeze them! I’ll definitely jump in the ocean while I am there too!”
The Project’s Wilkinson will cross live to the desk at the top of WA Week from the splendour of Broome, before she’s live on the desk in Perth on Thursday 24 and Friday 25 to cap off an exceptional week.
Wilkinson said: “We are all so looking forward to getting back to WA. It’s such a fabulous destination at any time, but after two years of being closed off to the rest of the country, we can’t wait to explore everything that this vast, stunning state has to offer.”
Broadcasting from the iconic Kings Park and Botanic Garden that Perth is famous for, the show will also include live crosses from roving reporter and Perth local Rove McManus.
Rove is beside himself with excitement to welcome his friends from The Project, as he shows off the best that Western Australia has to offer with live crosses to the desk from the iconic Ningaloo Reef, the Margaret River Region, and Rottnest Island.
Rove said: “I am very excited The Project is headed to Western Australia and I can’t wait to share some of the highlights of my home state with the team and its audience. There will be iconic landmarks, incredible experiences, and stunning locations from all over the state that may even give me an opportunity to swing by Mum’s place for a visit as well. The welcome mat is out and I’m ready to go.”
Paul Townsend, General Manager & Sales Director – Perth, said: “It has been fantastic to work with both Tourism WA and Initiative on bringing The Project to WA. This is an incredible opportunity to show the rest of the country just how special WA is. We cannot wait to bring Carrie home and show Lisa, Waleed, Pete, and Rove, all the brilliant parts of WA.”
