6PR ready to kick off 2025 with all the footy action from their top AFL lineup

6PR hosted an industry launch event at The Point in East Perth, welcoming clients, partners and local media to showcase its reinvigorated programming and AFL commentary line up for 2025.

After a strong finish to 2024, with Steve Mills and Karl Langdon rocketing to the No.2 breakfast show in Perth, listeners will continue to wake up to the duo’s signature blend of news, laughs and conversation.

Then, from 9.00am, Simon Beaumont hosts Perth Today, then Oliver Peterson continues to tackle the big issues of the day on Perth Live from 1.00pm, then on to the only live and local drive show with Mark Readings on Wide World of Sports, weekdays from 5.00pm.

6PR is primed to dominate AFL coverage in 2025 with its top AFL team calling five games every weekend, making it the go-to station for everything about footy.

6PR’s AFL commentary team is headlined by returning favourites Adam Papalia and Mark Readings, along with former West Coast Eagles premiership player and breakfast announcer Karl Langdon. It’s a team stacked with footy knowledge and inside info to keep even diehard listeners informed. AFL Hall-of-Famer Glen Jakovich and Brownlow Medallist Brad Hardie will further consolidate the 6PR footy coverage.

Plus, the all-star lineup includes former Fremantle Dockers player David Mundy and West Coast Eagles premiership player Will Schofield, who will share their unique perspectives, special comments, and insights into the news coming out of WA’s biggest clubs.
