The 2020 Campaign Brief WA Awards: Finalists Announced next week; Winners Monday, April 6
Against the backdrop of everything that’s going on in the world, advertising awards seem entirely inconsequential but maybe they will give us a little lift in the midst of all the anxiety and reason to celebrate our industry, even if only momentarily.
Needless to say, it has been a crazy couple of weeks with constantly moving goal posts but we’re almost there.
So, next week is Finalists week. Each day from Monday, we’ll announce the Finalists in each category as follows:
Monday – ‘Best of Year’ Creative categories
Tuesday – Media Organisation of the Year; Helen Filov Media Agency of the Year
Wednesday – Supernova of the year; Challenger or Specialist Agency of the Year
Thursday – Ad Person of the Year; Advertiser of the Year
Friday – Agency of the Year
Then all the winners will be revealed on Monday, April 6 at 12 noon.
God (and Mark McGowan) willing, the special Awards edition of Campaign Brief WA magazine will be distributed in that week. We’ve got our fingers crossed WA doesn’t have to move to a total lockdown before then. If it does, we’ll make the issue available online as a PDF.
We will contact the winners to arrange delivery of their framed certificates, depending on what restrictions are in place at that time.
Once again, thanks to our 2020 sponsors, who have been nothing short of amazing in these past couple of weeks. They’re all dealing with plenty of their own shit but their support has been unstinting and unequivocal.

Nice one, CB. Thanks for the welcome distractions and well-bloody-done on keeping the show going on during a nightmare couple of weeks.
“We’ve got our fingers crossed WA doesn’t move to a total lockdown before then.”
Irresponsible statement – A lockdown is our only hope to beat this thing.
Frankly there are bigger issues at stake than the magazine getting delivered on time.
Can’t wait – will be fab to have a bit of fun with this! Maybe my first Oasis without a hangover lol!
Seriously R U Serious, give Martin a break. The best thing we can do at the moment is to be nice to each other.
Well done guys! We all appreciate your tireless efforts to rally in a crisis. Thank you to the sponsors. It’s a shame we can’t come together to celebrate together as an industry – but I guess it’s an excuse to have a virtual cheers to those finalists every day next week 🙂
I echo Josh’s sentiment – thanks for keeping this going despite all of the logistical challenges. We certainly all welcome the distraction – it’s a nice idea to space out finalists and winners announcements. Keep the excitement going!
