Tess Palmyre joins Lush as marketing manager

Content agency, Lush is expanding its in-house team on the back of some soon-to-be-announced wins early this year. Tess Palmyre joins Lush and its sister agency, Dear Storyteller, as their dedicated marketing manager.

With a focus on driving strategic and marketing outcomes, alongside relationship management for both agencies, Palmyre is keen to continue the growth trajectory of 2021.

Palmyre said: “I’ve always loved the work that Lush does – creativity and authentic storytelling just oozes out of the place.”

“They’ve had some incredible wins in the last few years so I’m keen to work off the back of that energy and get more inspiring projects through the doors.”

Proudly Seychelles born, Palmyre’s professional life began with a 15-year stint as a musician and high school music teacher in Melbourne. She eventually swapped music for marketing after moving back to Perth in 2009.

“With jazz, you’re constantly looking for creative ways to express the next idea and adapting to what’s happening around you; no two performances are the same. That’s also what I love about marketing.”

Palmyre brings a wealth of knowledge to the role with her industry experiences on both agency and client side, including her most recent role as the senior marketing manager of a national not for profit in the Indigenous education space. Before that, Palmyre was the senior account manager at imageseven, as well as co-host of their SMC podcast for a time.

“Tess is exactly who we’ve been looking for to lead our marketing,” says Brendan Lobo, Client Service Director, Lush.

“Her work across agency and client side is the perfect fit for us and, after reading a few of her self-published blogs predicting future marketing trends, we knew that we had found someone with a truly remarkable strategic mind. We’re lucky to have her on the team.”
