Social Meteor launches their digital agency into a new space and with a new brand identity

Social Media Agency, Social Meteor are out to made their mark in the world of digital with a unique, all-encompassing, value based approach.

Duo Ben Hardy and Luke Whelan updated their brand identity this month to mirror a new space of reflection and redefinition that has seen the agency double in size over the last six months. As they enter a new phase of growth, they’ve challenged themselves and their clients to ‘own your space’.

Creative Director Ben Hardy says that COVID played a significant role in shifting the direction of the agency, broadening their scope of clients and skills to accommodate for a growing number of businesses recognising the importance of social media for survival.

“Social Media has fast become consumers go-to for any product or service. We thought it made sense to flip the whole marketing model on its head, looking to digital and social media first and going to traditional media last as a luxury,” says Hardy.

Launching in Ben Hardy’s basement back in 2017, Social Meteor started as a solo project before Hardy’s roommate at the time Luke Whelan joined forces in 2019.

Picking up clients like Heartbeat High, Varsity, Chevron City to Surf, Embargo and more, the duo quickly gained national attention from brands like Chicken Treat, growing their social from 500 to a 15k in a short period of time. The team of social specialist now work with the likes of Cheeky Monkey Brewery, Yahava Koffeeworks, MedAesthetics, StudyPerth, Job Trainer Australia, The Common Bistro and The Waverley Brewhouse and others.

Head Digital Strategist Luke Whelan says their challenge is keeping up with an ever-changing industry in an unpredictable global climate.

“We had to adapt and start giving our own social space a bit of love. We’ve been so busy offering services to clients, we thought it was time to stop, reflect and set a new agenda for the second half of 2021 and beyond,” says Whelan.

Social Meteor plan to take their ‘out of this world’ approach to the social and digital space both nationally and globally.
