An exclusive partnership between Ronald McDonald House Charities WA (RMHC WA) and Nine Perth has been officially announced today.

The announcement was unveiled at RMHC WA’s Vision Event – Koolark (’Home’ in Noongar) at The University Club of Western Australia.

Together, RMHC WA and Nine Perth will increase awareness and accelerated reach across fundraising and friend-raising activities for Up All Night, Ride for Sick Kids, Ronald McDonald House Charities Gala Ball and WA Giving Day.

RMHC WA CEO, Peter King, says Ronald McDonald House WA is committed to collaborative partnerships that go beyond financial support, towards a future of collective impact.

“The service RMHC WA provides is a direct outcome of partnerships in shared purpose.

“We believe that together, across the sectors, industries and regions, we have the opportunity to put WA on the global map as a place where collective support of family- centred care leads to well-being and prosperity.”

Nine Perth Managing Director, Clive Bingwa, said: “We are incredibly proud and excited to be utilising the power of Nine Media assets – Channel Nine, 6PR and WAToday to supercharge the visibility, funding, and traction of the RMHC programs that strive to keep families together when life gets turned upside down due to a child’s illness. We look forward to making a real difference to the lives of Western Australian families.”

A highlight of the partnership sees the elevation of WA Giving Day – an extraordinary major statewide giving experience the Western Australian community has never seen before.

In June 2022, on WA Day weekend, WA Giving Day will be instrumental in helping raise funds to ensure the delivery of crucial family-centred care for WA families with sick kids can continue.

Last year, a social return on investment evaluation of Ronald McDonald Houses across Australia revealed that, on average, every $1 invested in the service delivers a $3.60 return of socio-economic value.

The new partnership between RMHC WA and Nine Perth, will connect more resilient Western Australian families with seriously ill children, to the medical care they require.
