Chief Executive Officer of Meerkats, Gavin Bain, has been appointed as a Board Member of The Communications Council, following the Annual General Meeting held last week in Sydney.
Commenting on his appointment, Bain said: “I’ve enjoyed working alongside the Board as the State Chair of The Communications Council in WA since 2016, and now look forward to contributing at a national level.”
“I’m a passionate advocate for the value of commercial creativity on behalf of our members, and look forward to helping implement the exciting strategy of the Board.”
Welcoming Bain to the Board, Chairman Mark Green, said: “Since joining The Communications Council as WA State Chair, Gavin has played an essential role in championing the industry along our western seaboard. We welcome Gavin as a strong independent voice and someone who will represent WA members on a national level.”
Green also took the opportunity to thank outgoing Board member Jaimes Leggett, who has stepped down following six years on the Board, which includes serving as Chair between October 2015 and May 2018.
“On behalf of the Board, I would also like to extend our gratitude to Jaimes, who has performed as the Communications Council Chair and Board Director. His input and energy has been instrumental in transforming the Communications Council,” Green said.
