Media Stable evolves as larger businesses and corporates look for different alternatives

In an ever-changing media landscape WA media and communications agency Media Stable is evolving its business model.

Brands that have recently signed up to the unique agency include ASX-listed DUG Technology, Amazon Australia, Nespresso, and health insurer HIF. A host of other mid-sized companies with more extensive media requirements have also turned to the relationship-based agency to meet their communications needs.

Media Stable was originally created as a media and public relations playground for small and micro businesses that were looking to engage with media sporadically throughout the year. The agency has always been a cost-effective way to be represented, promoted, and amplified across mainstream and digital media.

Media Stable’s MD Nic Hayes said during the pandemic and more recently the economic downturn, larger businesses and corporates have been looking at different alternatives to tell their story.

“There’s no doubt the media cycle has changed, so businesses need to adapt and change with it. Relationships and experienced story tellers are the real assets that communications agencies have today. Larger national and international brands recognised the advantages of using an agile, well-connected WA based media agency.”

Hayes said: “Media Stable has always been proud of its ability to deliver strong results, and at the same time offer terrific value for money. What we can offer these brands is the ability to seamlessly support and complement their existing communications teams and partners and give them inroads into media that has previously eluded them.”

“It isn’t the size of the marketing or communications team that matters to our members, it’s the quality and consistency of the results that count.”

Media Stable has recently grown its Media Engagement Team with the addition of former TV news producer Simone Kerr. This larger team creates further opportunities for businesses to sign up to Media Stable’s MPA (Media Personal Assistant); a concentrated delivery of communications and media which is bespoke for each client. The opportunity to scale this program is where Media Stable sees the real future, as brands are looking for better cut through and aren’t receiving it with a traditional PR approach.

In 2023 Media Stable also entered a strategic partnership with media intelligence company Medianet to co-present the country’s leading media education and introduction event #MeetTheMedia. This is a mutually beneficial arrangement as both businesses have strong education and best practice drivers within their culture and ethos.

“There’s genuine interest from brands and businesses in all sectors, to work with media more effectively and efficiently hence the popularity of the event,” added Hayes.

Following the sold-out Perth event in May, two further events in Melbourne and Sydney in October are selling fast with key media across radio, television, print, and online.
