London and New York based creative agency Lucky Generals has launched a set of creativity cards, based loosely on the book Go Luck Yourself, by the agency’s founder Andy Nairn. All the profits will go to Commercial Break, to help working class talent in the creative industries.
Each pack contains 40 provocations, all illustrated by one of the agency’s designers, Lana Zantis. They have been designed to get the creative juices flowing and make people more likely to strike it lucky, when developing ideas.
Nairn published Go Luck Yourself in 2021 and it became an instant Amazon Bestseller. Since then, it has won Gold at this year’s Creative Circle Awards and raised over £30,000 for Commercial Break in royalties, licensing fees and donations in kind. Next year it will be translated into Korean and Chinese.
Says Nairn: “Generating breakthrough strategies and ideas is inevitably hard work, but these cards will hopefully make it a bit easier – and fun too. Plus, with all the profits going to Commercial Break, there’s a bit of karma too. What’s not to like?”
The cards are on sale at Amazon now
