Today Jennifer Lohan, Communications Executive from Match & Wood’s Perth team, took to the MFA EX stage in Melbourne and encouraged over 800 attendees to think differently about their media partnerships. Run by the Media Federation of Australia, this event brings the industry together to be inspired by ground-breaking media thinking, best practices, innovation, and people development in driving the media industry forward.
Lohan was one of seven future industry leaders with less than fifteen years of experience in the industry, selected to present Inspiration X sessions at MFA EX in Melbourne and Sydney. The presentations aim to introduce a new or provocative perspective, inspire our industry to change its thinking or behaviour, and address the broader theme of the MFA EX conference: delivering greater effectiveness.
In her session, “Eat risk for breakfast: Weird partnerships and why they work”, Lohan spoke about marketing’s weirdest partnerships and why they work, and shared three principles to help your partnerships cut through – inspiring media planners across the country to try something different next time they pick up a media plan.
Lohan said: “I was excited to represent Match & Wood and the Perth media industry at MFA EX. Presenting in front of this many people was definitely out of my comfort zone but also incredibly rewarding. Thank you to the MFA for giving me the opportunity and creating an event that celebrated different perspectives and opinions from people across the industry. It was an honour to be a part of it.”
Lyndelle O’Keefe, CEO of Match & Wood, said: “This achievement can’t be understated. Jen has two years of experience in the industry, so for her to stand up in front of hundreds of her peers and deliver the content that she did, was outstanding. I’m so happy to see our people achieving great things and growing through opportunities like this.”
