Curtin announces new domestic media partnership with Longreach and Carat Perth

Curtin University has appointed Perth-based agencies Longreach Media and Carat Perth to work in partnership on the University’s domestic media planning and buying after a competitive and thorough review process.

Curtin University Director of Brand and Marketing, Kate Jennings, said Curtin’s media requirements continued to evolve as it balanced the expansion into key global markets and its commitment to the important domestic market.

“The media landscape has changed significantly, and it was crucial we appointed agencies that could deliver contemporary media strategies to effectively communicate with Curtin’s audiences. We believe this partnership model (Longreach and Carat) gives Curtin access to the high level of strategy and industry experience needed to cement Curtin as WA’s most preferred university.”

While Longreach Media will focus on Curtin’s media and marketing strategy, Carat will act as Curtin’s media placement agency. Carat is also on the WA State Government’s campaign agency roster.

Longreach founder Angela Nutton said the company was delighted to renew its association with Curtin University.

“We can’t wait to start working with Curtin and our priority right now is to bring ourselves totally up to date with the current state of the university market and to hit the ground running,” Nutton said.

Curtin will continue to work with Sydney-based Global Rev Gen, appointed in 2017, for all international media planning and buying.
