Ashleigh Idle joins Match & Wood as communications director

Match & Wood has appointed former Initiative executive Ashleigh Idle to the role of communications director.

Idle (formerly Doy) joins from Initiative Perth where she was communications design director for four years working across the Lotterywest and RAC accounts. Prior to this she worked at PHD Melbourne and OMD London in digital and communications planning roles.

In her new role Idle will work closely with national communications director, Michael Wretham, and agency leaders Lyndelle & Chris O’Keefe, to spearhead the management of key clients including Curtin University, Synergy, Summit Homes Group, HIF Australia and more.

Match & Wood managing director, Lyndelle O’Keefe, said Idle has the ideal blend of skills and experience for the role. “Ash has a strong strategic planning background and a wealth of experience managing blue-chip clients which makes her a fantastic addition to the agency. Her appointment demonstrates our commitment to developing highly effective, best-in-class teams that can continue driving great results for our clients.”

Idle said: “Kicking off the next stage of my career at Match & Wood is a huge privilege and one that I’m keen to sink my teeth into. I’ve admired them from afar for a while now and was always impressed with how they went about things, I can’t wait to get started.”

Her appointment follows that of Sam Enshaw into the newly-created role of national strategy director last month, and a raft of additional hires earlier this year across the Melbourne and Perth offices.
