ALYKA launches digital internship program

Digital agency ALYKA launches its strategically developed internship program to boost career prospects for WA marketing graduates.

The West Perth digital marketing agency recently held an information evening for WA marketing graduates to launch their exciting internship program, which aims to give its participants a unique opportunity to experience agency life. Almost 30 students attended to be amongst the first to know about the new program.

Nick Dunn, People and Operations Officer at ALYKA said the program is designed to give interns hands-on experience during their placement to best prepare them for post-graduate life.

Dunn said: “Traditionally, interns get handed the boring admin jobs that do nothing to help them gain experience, or give them insight into what a day in the life of a marketing agency employee actually looks like. The program is built around a series of structured challenges and will allow interns to ‘choose their own adventure’ through the agency, spending on their interests.“

Part of the program includes regular follow up conversations with placements to build a talent pipeline of high quality marketing professionals.

Gemma Owen, Head of People and Culture at ALYKA, said the company has consistently provided opportunities for graduates and have developed this program to extend their commitment to fast-tracking graduates into successful careers.

Owen said: “We currently have two full-time employees who started with us as interns. We’ve seen the reciprocal value of giving graduates a chance, and want to extend this via our structured intern program.”

The launch evening was a huge success, with the first placement due to commence mid November. Expressions of interest for the internship program can be submitted via the form here.
