303 MullenLowe appointed creative agency for Alcohol. Think Again, Drug Aware and Strong Spirit Strong Mind

After a comprehensive agency review process, Cancer Council WA (the new NGO partner for the Western Australian Mental Health Commission [MHC]) has appointed 303 MullenLowe to provide creative advertising services across MHCs Alcohol.Think Again, Drug Aware and Strong Spirit Strong Mind programs.

The appointment expands upon 303 MullenLowe’s existing relationship with the Alcohol.Think Again program, which has seen the development of its ‘I Need You To Say No’, a campaign recently announced as a finalist in the Australian Effie Awards for its role in reducing underage drinking in Western Australia.

Across the duration of the long-term contract, 303 MullenLowe will deliver a broad range of evidence-based education and prevention campaigns in order to help MHC achieve its vision of a WA community that experiences minimal alcohol and other drug-related harms and optimal mental health.

Says Julia Stafford, alcohol program manager at Cancer Council WA: “The 303 MullenLowe team has shown great enthusiasm in taking on the challenge of these campaigns and we look forward to seeing them apply their expertise to reduce harm from alcohol and other drugs in WA.”

Says Hannah Samsa, manager of public education and health promotion at the Mental Health Commission: “We are really excited to see 303 MullenLowe apply their behaviour change expertise to the Alcohol.Think Again, Drug Aware and Strong Spirit Strong Mind programs.”

Says John Linton, head of planning at 303 MullenLowe: “MHC has a long history of producing powerful and effective behaviour change campaigns. We’re over the moon to be joining them on the next leg of their journey.”

Work is already well underway since the appointment, with new campaigns for both Alcohol.Think Again and Drug Aware in development.
