I preferred the Good Grocer campaign when Van Kempen did it for Ikea years ago.
Good Grocer should win as it looks like the only ad where a paying client commissioned the work. I do like HIF BUT ‘ran in an LGBTQ+ publication’ is a little too spurious an attribution for my liking.
Thanks for liking the HIF ad, Con. It was a response to a real brief – not remotely speculative. Every proof-point in the copy is true – HIF have lead the way with progressive LGBTQI+ policies for a long time now. It ran as a full page, with both agency and media paid. The only reason we added that attribution was to give the content of the ad context for the judges. Anonymously questioning an agency’s integrity on a blog is easy but potentially harmful. Not just to us, but to the reputation of the industry as a whole. If you have a concern in the future, why not email me at dav@andpartners.com.au – or just ask me the next time you see me. It’s a small town after all.
