The Australasian Writers and Art Directors Association (AWARD) has today announced eight international ‘super jurors’ to select the 2019 AWARD School national winner, who will be flown to Las Vegas to attend the 2019 London International Awards Creative LIAisons.

The prize, which includes attendance, flights and accommodation, is being generously provided by Esther Clerehan, AWARD committee member and founder of creative talent company Clerehan Pty Ltd.

AWARD School flagship partner Facebook Australia will fly the state winner (top student) from NSW, VIC, WA, QLD & SA to Facebook headquarters in Sydney for the national announcement, a workshop, meeting with five creative mentors and dinner.

This year’s national winner will be revealed on Thursday, 8 August at Facebook in Sydney.

“Each year, we see an extraordinary pool of talent coming through AWARD School, and each year we seem to see the bar of outstanding creativity pushed higher by the students. It’s appropriate that they should have their books judged by a panel of some of the world’s most notable creatives.”

AWARD School state graduation nights will take place in NSW, VIC, QLD, WA and SA on Wednesday 31 July from 6:30pm.

All state winners will automatically qualify for the Super Jury round and will be flown to Sydney for the national announcement, to be held on Wednesday, 8 August.

Says Esther Clerehan, sponsor of this year’s national prize: “I was really thrilled when my fellow AWARD Committee member [Finch Executive Producer] Loren Bradley was able to secure the LIA Creative LIAisons trip as a prize for this year’s AWARD School national winner. I am extremely proud of my 26 year involvement in AWARD School and I jumped at the chance to accelerate the winner’s career with this trip of a lifetime.”

Says Alexandra Sloane, head of marketing, Facebook Australia & New Zealand: “The importance of creativity is at an all-time high – people now have infinite choice when it comes to how they spend their time and what they consume. Facebook Australia is committed to supporting the next wave of creative talent who are defining what good marketing and advertising looks like in a connected world – there has never been a better time to have a great idea.”
